About St. I's Hospitality Ministry
We are the ones who welcome you at Mass. We help create a sense of community so you can experience the Mass
in a peaceful way. Hospitality Ministry is open to all parishioners age 15 and above. You can choose to minister
one or more weekends a month, as your schedule permits. You can fulfill your FISH hours with us.
What is Hospitality Ministry?
Our primary purpose is to honor the dignity of each member of our parish community and encourage a sense of
belonging. When we fulfill the call of our ministry we foster the feeling of being "at home" for others.
What Do We Do?
· Greet those gathering for the celebration of Mass
· Receive the collection from the community
· Help direct the community to receive communion
· Help make the church building a welcome and clean place to visit
· Smile a lot; help foster a warm, friendly atmosphere at Mass
How Do I Get Involved?
Just ask! It's that simple. The next time you are at Mass, speak to one of the Hospitality Ministers. Or, visit
our Hospitality bulletin board in the vestibule of the church. Sign your name and phone number on our New Member
sign up sheet. We will set up a short orientation/training session and give you an information packet to get you
started.
